Hall booking charges

Rates up until 31st March 2012

Business rate: £110 (3 hours) plus £30 for each extra hour.

Business discount: £230 special day rate.

Exercise Classes: Weekday mornings only by arrangement £17 per hour

Standard rate: £75 (3 hours) plus £23 for each extra hour.

Concessionary rate: £50 (3 hours) plus £18 for each extra hour.

St. Margaret's Hall can be hired for all types of functions

The hall is a perfect venue for many activities including:

● Antiques and craft fairs

● A  regular venue for playgroups

● The Bradford on Avon Film Society

● Plays

● Dance and excercise classes

● Dinners and social events

● Wedding receptions

The hall is licensed under the Licensing Act 2003 for public entertainment, theatre, cinema and sale of alcohol.

Location

The hall is situated adjacent to the river in the centre of the historic market town of Bradford on Avon in Wiltshire.

Car Parking is available adjacent to the hall.

History

The hall was built in the late eighteenth century as a specialist dyers house. It became a cinema in 1904 and more recently a community hall.

In June 2003 the Town Council offices were installed in the ancillary rooms of the hall with a small extension and the kitchen facilities at the Hall were much improved.

Facilities

Facilities include a main hall with polished sprung wooden floor, capable of accommodating 150 guests for a dinner, 200 seated in rows or 380 for a standing only event. 

Approximately 27 stalls can be accommodated for craft and trade fairs. There is a stage at the far end of the hall.

Kitchen and bar

There is a well appointed kitchen and bar to the side of the hall. Toilet facilities including one for the disabled are good and there is also wheelchair access to the hall and a loop system for the hard of hearing.

Tables and chairs are available for use and can be set up by the manager of the hall if required.

PA System

A PA system is provided and a CD player complete with four speakers.

Cancellation policy

There is a surcharge of 60% for bookings on Bank Holidays and New Year's Eve.

A non-returnable deposit of 25% of the hire fee is payable at the time of booking, and the balance must be paid two weeks before the event

When a cancellation of a booking is received in writing, a refund (less deposit) will be made as follows:

a) Up to 28 days in advance Full refund

b) 27 - 21 days in advance 75% refund

c) 20 - 14 days in advance 50% refund

d) 13 - 7 days in advance 15% refund

e) 6 days before due date No refund

Please note that the deposit is non refundable

Definitions

Business rate: For all companies - for meetings, seminars, conferences, trade fairs or where there is personal monetary gain from the hire.

Standard rate: Applies to all one-off hires, eg weddings receptions, dances, dinners, receptions, fund-raising events, bazaars, etc.

Concessionary rate: Applies to all LOCAL Non Profit-Making Non Fund-Raising groups and voluntary groups from the town using the venue for meetings, gatherings, etc where funds are not being directly raised.
